First National

Renovation to bank in a small town.

When First National decided to renovate, it encountered several challenges.  The bank had grown over the years into two storefronts with different floor levels, breaking apart the space into two disjointed halves.  The usage of the space itself was somewhat inefficient, with vacuous work spaces that had no clear function.  In addition, the last remodel had taken place in the 1980s, and  literally all the finishes and materials needed to be updated: paint, flooring, ceiling, lighting, cabinetry, etc.

This new design removed the existing teller line that was set back into the original half of the bank, and replaced it with a curving teller line that bridges the zone between the old and new – thus unifying the space and creating a more inviting feel for the customers.  As part of the construction, a new conference room and office were created, as well as work spaces and ADA accessible ramps.  Finishes and furniture were modernized throughout to create a clean and cohesive vision for the future.
